A successful professional in business today requires resilience, forbearance, and fortitude while having the ability to exude cool, calm and a certain amount of stoicism in any situation. However, with increasing pressures at work and home these days it’s getting harder to start the day with a smile let alone end the day with one.

This workshop encourages the development of sustainable, practical, ready to use skills to enable participants/employees to perform more consistently which, in turn, helps improve well-being and productivity.

Overview

The workshops help people understand how to cultivate their own innate capabilities to master the art of being calm, centred and confident to be more effective in personal and professional life, sustainable skills that increase opportunity in life – and therefore give a competitive edge.

Case Study - BlackRock

‘Grace Under Pressure’ as part of Company network programme.

A newly created internal company network wanted to provide life and social skills training for administration assistants who have to negotiate and prioritise work for several different bosses.

I designed a tailor made workshop called ‘Grace Under Pressure’ that identified the key challenges an assistant has in managing those senior to them.

Outcome

By the end of the session participants were able to recognise different manager types and how to deal with them. They became confident in how to say ‘no’ while still being proactive and maintaining good relationships.

Those who continued to practice the new skills reported improved relationships with their managers and are now active in the network as confident organisers of this continuing programme.  A further workshop, ‘Leading from Behind’ was devised and delivered as part of the Network’s on going established training programme.
